Team,
I am now back from the Lab at Los Alamos. Sorry, I was behind some crazy
firewalls,(couldn't do irc etc...) and fell behind on much of the Ubuntu
situation. (At the Lab you can't use a personal computer, or government
issued ones, and they were either macs or ran red hat with selinux support.
Interesting note though, my group wanted to eventually switch to Ubuntu!
Isn't there yet.)
Now that I am back I should be around on IRC again and will try to have a
more active roll with this team. I have a few questions/comments:
1. Great new website. Whoever designed it needs a pat on the back
2. How is edgy shaping out? It seems knot 2 was delayed and knot 3 still
doesn't have xorg 7.1 which I thought was the plan. Are the devs having
issues with edgy?
3. Is there a todo list for the team? I would love to volunteer to sign up
for a project.
4. I will probably help with MOTU. I was successful this summer packaging
some stuff and I think I will help maintian it. (If they will let me)
Anybody
else in this group interested in this?
5. Could we somehow officially mirror Ubuntu? Does anybody know how we
could
convince BYU or the UofU etc... to mirror Ubuntu?
6. Anything else I should know about? Was the summer good?
Well, I hope to do better at helping and not somebody who just sends this
type of email every 4 months. It is good to be back.
