Adobe Reader for 64bit

I've been confronted with the question tonite on how to install Adobe
Reader for Linux on a 64bit machine. I have never installed Adobe
Reader on linux since I always use the OSS equivalent readers, but it
sounds like Adobe is actually required for one reason or another for
this user.

Is Adobe Reader supported under 64bit Linux? If so, does anyone have
any suggestions on installation?

Thanks, I appreciate any tips to pass on.
