Congrats on just installing Ubuntu!

What exactly do you mean when you say it can't read the DVD? Do you
mean it can't read it at all (no data or video) or that it doesn't
play DVD movies?

Also are you in Utah? I noticed the yahoo.fr address. We're glad to
