Texas Linux Fest 2015: Volunteers wanted!

Our non-profit Comp-u-Dopt, based in Houston, has distributed about 5500 edubuntu desktops and laptops, free of charge, to children in underserved communities around Houston.  We plan to expand throughout Texas and eventually the United States using our proven model for helping children who do not have access to computer technology.  We’d be interested to participate — both from the standpoint of letting people in the linux community know what we are doing, and also attracting some additional expertise (we need help particularly in large-scale implementations in school districts).

Subject: Texas Linux Fest 2015: Volunteers wanted!

Hello everyone!

I'm Jose, writing to you from Lima, Peru. I am organizing the Ubuntu
Booth at Texas Linux Fest <texaslinuxfest.org> this year, and would love
to have some extra hands to spread the word about Ubuntu and tell people
about all the awesome things we are doing around the world.

The conference will take place at the San Marcos Conference Center, on
August 21st and 22nd. I don't have exact expo hall opening times and
dates, so we would need people to setup and teardown, so all day is
recommended.

Do you have an interesting idea for the booth? Do you want to bring a TV
that we can hook up to a PC for some demos or video playbacks? All
suggestions welcome, and I'll try to do my best to accommodate everything!

If you have any questions feel free to email me or the list. If you have
read this far and want to give a hand, let me know! I'm going to be very
glad to meet a lot of amazing people in this trip.
