In LibreOffice Draw, click File -> Export, click the "Save as type"
pulldown menu, and choose the GIF or SVG format.
Doing this will produce an image file that can be embedded in an html
document. Don't use the regular "Save As" dialog, and don't save line
art into a JPG file because the result will be chunky.
Try Inkscape if you still want an alternative to Draw.
