[UbuntuDallas] system hangs at login

I would turn the computer off and after a minute try to restart. This
time around it might give you the option to start in a "safe" mode (I
don't really remember what it is called). Try that and see if you get it
to work. If it works, sign off and try again in normal mode.
Good luck!

Subject: [UbuntuDallas] system hangs at login
Date: Wed, 17 Mar 2010 17:57:49 -0500
Hi, I just loaded ubunto9.10 with the Gnome desktop. Load was great, no
problems, good color sharp crisp full screen windows.
I take out the disk, hit return, and the system reboots. Login screen
comes up, test login by logging in with wrong passwd. I get a beep and
return to login screen.
I then login with real user and passwd. The system then hangs; mouse
doesn’t move screen does not change.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Ken Bennett
