ubuntu-us-tn Gaining Admin Access to Loco Mailing List

Actually it's worse than 5 months, Dec. 24 2008 meeting we were
starting this with attempts to contact a few people, we were attempting
to contact tideline via the point of contant info in the wiki (which was
to the best of our knowledge current) we lost focus & direction for a
time being
(w4ett had gone missing, we attempted to contact him, he responded
after awhile (Health issues complicated things, no action was taken in
removing him due to his reason & as it turned out, was actually helping
the LoCo by approving new & renewing members, which somehow the rest of
us missed & did help us stay active enough to keep focus & lead to this
desire to straighten out this mess)
we had attempted to contact an admin (unrelated to the mailing list,
& not Tideline but none the less relevant for the background) we
received a less than desirable reply, which summing it up was no longer
willing to help.
after perusing this again (the first round of emails were seeking
involvement, the current set was requesting admin access to the mailing
list) as stated below, we were willing to have him as an admin too at
that time, however this uncooperative position led to the loco
leadership council to have the currently elected leadership manage it.
(Just thought I should give a more detailed background, w4ett explained
it in great detail, but I thought that we've actually been trying to
reach him further back & the only replies we receive are due to a
non-member in a position to deal with the issue, to my count that's one
email since December 2008 (when I got involved here) & further back on
w4ett's count)

During the past 5 months, we of the Ubuntu-US-TN team have been
reconstituting our LoCo leadership and have Elected new team
leadership due to the extended absence of our former leader Tideline
(Michael Berger) Except for answering several emails from Joe Barker
joeb454 in early July, he has been totally absent from all aspects of
our team since August 2008.
In July, Tideline was asked to relinquish admin of the mailing list
by Joeb454, but he has not done so. (See Attached Email) . On 26
August a Tn Loco Leadership Council meeting was conducted and it was
decided that since Tideline had not responded to the previous emails,
we would ask the ubuntu lists administrators or Loco Council to grant
us access to the list directly.
The following links are provided to support our position: Mootbot Log

Can you please help us correct this situation?
Many thanks in advance.

Mike,
I think you need to add or pass adminstrative permissions to w4ett.
O can't say I have much experience with lists.

Please make any chages that need to be done to make this smooth.
Or do I need to make the mailing list changes? I can certainly
do that. I will check.

Sorry to bother you again,
Just a quick question about the mailing list, I've had
mentions from team members about the mailing list
administration. I was just hoping that somebody else
could be added as an administrator of the list (possibly
w4ett as trustee, hence the CC) or some sort of agreement
reached.
I totally appreciate how real life can get in the way, and I
don't want to make it seem like we're trying to force you
out of any roles (seeing as this is the 2nd email
in 2 days). Just trying to ensure a smooth running for LoCo
teams.
Regards,
Joe
