Hi, My name is Alex Antonas.
This may be surprising, but I am 11 years old. I have been using
linux for almost 2 years. I started out with damnsmall (I kind of didn't
like fluxbox) and went over Ubuntu. I really don't know what freenode
is. I have heard of it before, but I don't know where. I think Ubuntu is
really cool.

I've been using Linux since 2002 starting with Fedora, then Gentoo, then Ubuntu, although I mostly use the XFCE desktop environment now. I'd like to say my specialty is installing/configuring Ubuntu, especially on laptops; this said, an installfest in Knoxville would be right up my alley. I've actually just started getting involved with Ubuntu outside of using it, but I plan to help with development/patches in the near future.

I didn't actually install Linux on my home PC until Ubuntu Dapper in 2006. I run a dual boot of Ubuntu and Xubuntu on my home PC. I've used a few other distributions like Knoppix, DSL, and Puppy, but Ubuntu is the first that I really enjoy. I'm really interested in Xubuntu for running on my older machine.I go by forpeterssake on the Ubuntu wiki and Lanunchpad. If anyone is interested in a Nashville-area installfest or other activity, I'm game.- Peter Robison

> Hey all! Mike Barnwell, senior restaurant manager for the Cheesecake Factory in Nashville. I live in Antioch. New to Linux and Ubuntu, started with Edgy and now Feisty in x86_64, my interest in Ubuntu is mainly for further home, entertainment, and broad base user development . I've always kind of piddled around with computers and programming - self taught (and self forgotten) DOS, HTML, and such. My skills are rudimentary at best, but my son Cory turned me on to Ubuntu and the spark is rekindled! Looks like we have a couple of Nashville/Murfreesboro guys on board and I'm up for anything! Launchpad name is michaelb322. Talk at you soon.
