Speaker for FOSS event in South Carolina

Hi folks,
   forwarding this request for a speaker I received from Bryant Patten 
of the National Center for Open Source.

Hello Belinda -

   i just got a phone call from the people I am working with to create 
an Open Source lab in Columbia, South Carolina.  They are helping 
sponsor the first South Carolina  Science and Engineering Festival and 
they are looking for exhibitors to come and get middle school kids 
excited about STEM and IT.  They asked me about Open Source 
opportunities so I am contacting you to see if you knew of any people in 
that area that could come and talk to kids about the cool aspects of 
Ubuntu and Open Source software.  The catch is that it is REAL SOON  ->  
Oct 23rd.

   Any ideas you might have about getting kids jazzed about IT (with a 
FOSS slant :-)  would also be greatly appreciated.  They are expecting 
about 700-1000 kids.
