Ubuntu Live Is Coming in July! Share Your Knowledge and Enthusiasm as a
Speaker - Submit Your Proposal Now.

Ubuntu Live is coming to Portland, Oregon, July 22-24. It's the first
official gathering of the Ubuntu community - welcoming experts, longtime
users, established companies, and newcomers alike to an energizing
environment for sharing, learning, and exploring all things Ubuntu.
Co-presented by O'Reilly Media and Canonical Ltd., the inaugural
conference will offer expert-led tutorials, big-picture plenary
gatherings, focused sessions, and a lively "hallway track" that promise
to bring the varied participants in the Ubuntu community face to face. 

Ubuntu Live will gather IT professionals, government and business
leaders, educators, community leaders, and enterprise users. We want
your big ideas and enlightening experiences, what works and what
doesn't, hands-on techniques, best practices, and bold visions for the
future. We will aim to address and help resolve the issues faced by
those in the trenches, and we welcome your submissions on all aspects of
developing, using, customizing, and deploying Ubuntu. The possibilities
are endless, but might include:

- Using Ubuntu at the edge of the network
- Ubuntu in small and medium businesses
- Ubuntu in the NGO/non-profit sector
- High performance computing
- Ubuntu Community contributions
- Ubuntu use in developing economies
- Ubuntu in education
- Building Ubuntu-based appliances and products
- Point of sale, mobile, scientific research, banking, and other
verticals
- Performance optimization in Ubuntu
- Ubuntu derivatives, such as Kubuntu, Edubuntu, and Xubuntu

Proposals are due no later then February 14 11:59 p.m. (PST). Find

which will overlap with OSCON, the O'Reilly Open Source Convention, to
