[Ubuntu PA] receiving fax

Efax is software for sending faxes via the phone system. The question is how
to tell if the fax modem (the 0459) has been recognized by Efax. I'd say the
simplest way is to try sending a test fax to someone you know. I'll try
installing the program and seeing how it works.
