Hi everyone,

Rich Gardener from the PACS Linux SIG asked about coming to the
install-fest to get support for an existing install. I told him that as
long as he registers, it's OK with us.

He's having issues with installing codecs to play things like wmv
files. I believe he's also having trouble with playing DVDs. Although
that's something I know how to fix, at the team meeting we decided not
to openly "talk" about helping people with dvd decryption. The other
stuff should be fine though.

I think he's using Edgy Eft. I'm waiting for his reply to confirm
this. I was able to play proprietary formats on my old dapper and edgy
installs but I forget how I did it. Not sure if I just setup the
repositories and used apt-get, or if I used something like Automatix or
EasyUbuntu. Are any of you well versed in how to do this?

-kevin
