Yeah, that should be fine. I'm hoping we can keep the news article
content very simple by limiting the names of all groups involved. The
article should have this simple content: PCs were donated by Philly
Stock Exchange; combined effort of multiple volunteer groups; dual boot
system; Mt. Airy CVG installed Windows; Ubuntu PA LoCo installs Linux;
PhillyChix provides Linux mentoring to girls. There have been other
groups involved in this in some way: MALT, MACCC, NPowerPA, maybe some more.
Could you explain what role PhillyChix will play with the girls? I just
want to make sure I say the right thing if anyone asks. I assumed some
kind of mentoring with technology / linux but I could be wrong. They
could certainly leverage the LoCo's resources too, we're all family ;-)
Next, we have to figure out what software to install. I've used
tuxtyping, gcompris, and childsplay but they all seem to be geared for
under 12 kids. There's a whole set of education-* packages in the
repositories from DebianEdu (http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu). Looks
like a nice variety for older kids.
