Apple devices are totally relevant! Intel Macs can run amd64 images. Some of the first generation will need firmware updates to do so.

Also, you may have not known, but I'm the de facto contact for Ubuntu with regards to PowerPC chips, which were what Apple used before Intel. Officially, Ubuntu has dropped support for PPC, but Server and Lubuntu continues to provide images and support. We're one of the few in the Linux world.

Hopefully, it's clear to everyone how relevant this is. So where do we go from here and leverage my experience to spread Ubuntu to the local Mac community?

Maybe I could make slides and notes for a presentation that either you or Jim could give? I might be able to make a Saturday class, but with my daughter being on the swim team, I'm pretty committed (that's where I am now!).

Maybe I could Skype in or do a Hangouts On Air? For the latter, I could get some of our PPC testers in on the game. Then we'd have a record on YouTube, too, for those that come behind us.

Either way, need more testers and this might be a good way to get some. Then we are not just contributing to local people, or the LoCo, but the whole community.

The more I think about this, the more excited I am by it, so get in touch!
