[Ubuntu Oregon] Release party?

Hello Ubuntu people,
Thanks - James - for the nice comment, I didn’t mention "Boon's Treasury,
where one might retire for a more medicinal potable concoction," because...
to be quite honest, I just don't GETOUT much... LOL.
Plus I know Portland undoubtedly has the best venue for clubs.
I'll address Thomas's questions first, and then comment on the rest.
A1) We are charged for the coffee shuttles per number of people that
attend, and not by room size.
As Cody also correctly stated; its by how many shuttles are needed, based
on attendance.
A2) Coffee shuttles are not limited to just coffee, we can also order "Tea
Service Carafes," which servers eight people for $13. Tee is calculated
like Coffee Shuttles, so 30 people / 8 servings, rounds to int(4), so
4-Carafes X $13 is $61 total including 18% gratuity.
Thanks - great questions Thomas.
Everyone is correct - Topic is where to have 15.10 release party (Salem, or
Portland), and not multiple 15.10 events, or events in 2016, so I'll only
comment regarding where to have a "single" 15.10 event (Salem or Portland).
Plus I don't think it'd be a good idea to have multiple events for 15.10,
as Thomas brings up another good point; everyone may favour one location
over the other, and not attend both. Or as he stated; "people may not
attend Salem, because everyone already went to (or plans to go) to
Portland." Also I think - by having one LoCo release party for Oregon will
help keep costs down, so that other LoCo communities can also afford a
release party :-)
According to Benjamin - There were about 30 attendees at the last jam[1]
with majority being Portland/Metro, and a few from Salem, Eugene, etc.
Thanks Benjamin for the Geostatistics.
As for myself - I think we should hold release party at a location where we
can have the biggest turnout, after all Ubuntu is about community coming
together. Plus if people from Canonical or others parts of the world
attend, they'll most likely fly into PDX. So again it's back to where most
of the people are gathered, which would be Portland.
Perhaps Canonical would be willing to pay for a shuttle (no, not
space-shuttle), a van-shuttle. LOL.
The shuttle could start out in Eugene, and make three designated stops in
towns that Intestate-5 runs through, like Albany, Salem, and Wilsonvile.
That is if, Walter is will to do this... It's just an idea... And it's not
my intention to put pressure on Walter, God knows he's done a lot for our
community already, so thank! you Walter.
Benjamin said it best; "Perhaps polling might be a good idea? This way
we'll know which location (Salem or Portland) might be more successful in
terms of turnout."
As said earlier; I'll leave it up to everybody to decide on a fair, and
impartial location, however please keep the shuttle idea in mind. And if
we can get a real space-shuttle, well you all know, I'm totally for that
too.
BTY: I'll be busy the next couple of days building an A/D converter demo,
for our local electronics club, along with keeping normal pace, therefore I
may not reply with the utmost alacrity until Wednesday.
Thanks everyone, for doing what you do so well, and remember to FOSS daily.
