Open Source Government Petition

The We the People portion of the whitehouse.gov site has posted a
petition calling for government to reduce spending by employing open
source software. The petition can be found at: http://wh.gov/kCq

To my mind, government using open source is just good business sense. As
you may know, the whitehouse.gov site is hosted on Drupal. Still, there
is no broad mandate that encourages agencies to consider open source
solutions. If you agree there should be such a mandate, I would suggest
you add your name to the petition.
