Hi Kim,

Ubuntu user here from Cottage Grove, Oregon. [just south of Eugene] I've
been using Ubuntu since last August in a dual boot with Windows XP, and
I seldom boot to Windows anymore, other than to install updates.

Ubuntu comes with a wealth of documentation to smooth you over the rough
spots, and since I've discovered that, I've had to ask fewer questions
in the Ubuntu User's group I belong to. For a look at the list of docs I
think are most necessary, have a look at my page here -

There may be small differences in availability for you, since you are
using the 8.10 version, I'm still using good old reliable 8.04.2 Hardy
Heron which is a long term support LTS version.

I'm glad to see there are other Oregonians using Ubuntu. 8-)
