hey all, I'm forwarding a message that one of the Chicago LoCo contacts and
heads of Flourish Conference sent me. Basically I sent him the message
that (Anthony)? sent to the list about a website for UbuCon.

hope this helps.

Eddie,

The flourish website is hosted on Dreamhost. One of the people
helping out with organizing flourish has an account, and we're simply
abusing his bandwidth. We registered the domain, then forwarded the
requests to his dns server. The next version of flourish will probably be
using Joomla for a CMS. The last version was a static html/css website and
it made it too much of a hassle to maintain/update.

We never did CoLoc, but that always seemed very expensive (for non business
entities). I looked into a few places for work a while back and for the
most part you're running at anywhere from 50-200+ per month. For flourish
we went the cheapest route possible without sacrificing reliability too
much.

Let me know if you need anything else. Hope I answered all your questions.
