Just one more random thought when dealing with nonprofits -

although this is an issue for anyone, nonprofits providing social or
health services have to be particularly careful about their data - esp.
when the client mix includes those who have or are receiving services
related to HIV/AIDS, STDs, substance abuse or mental health.
Confidentiality is a really big deal, with some hefty legal penalties
for disclosure (even if inadvertent).  Just something to keep in mind as
you try to help them through the backup process - among other things you
probably don't want possession of the data, even if only temporarily.

I don't mean to complicate things, but it's probably worth the aside
just so nobody gets surprised.
