To all the lurkers, spectators and just-about-to-participators out
there who are concerned with possibly losing membership:

I am not certain of the exact details of how we would put this sort of
thing into effect, however, it will more than likely be a really low
hurdle. For instance, once a year you have to respond to an email that
says if you don't respond to this email you will be removed from the
launchpad team. I even suggest that this be regular policy for
everyone on the New York LoCo- once a year they have to verify
membership. Heck that might even be the method I chose to leave the
team at some undesignated point in the future (nt currently in the
plans but if I can get a job overseas, well that's another altogether.)

anyways, that is the basis of my suggestion.

the other point to my prod is this. get active. do something. plan
something like "I'm having an Ubuntu Coffeedrink at Starbuck's next
weekend," announce it, then get some Ubuntu CDs and some flyers (you
know make them) and show up! Oh yeah here's the important step- HAVE FUN!!
