[ubuntu-us-nm] Question

Steve K,

The grub edit process I had described doesn't persist between boots unless
some other steps are taken. Please take Steve P up on his offer if/when you
have the time. I am confident the problem is with the graphics card and that
obstacle can be overcome without too much brick meets head activity.

A side question: The 10.10 kernel should make friendly with the graphics
card in your machine. Why not forgo the upgrade and install fresh from the
10.10 live CD as Steve P mentioned?
'Course I may have missed something, so please ignore if you have all ready
considered and tried that path or it's not an option.
