Yes, I read more about this and installed it several days ago, and my mouse began working just fine between the host and guest OS's.  Thanks for the info.

The VirtualBox Guest Addon is very much like the Vmware VMware-tools.
It provides better hardware communication/sharing between the vm guest
os and the host.
