Where all about promoting Linux to new users, I did not respond cause I did not know the answer. Next time I'll be sure and respond even if it's just to let people know I'm listening, and yo make a good point.

Sounds like your getting to know Virtual Box pretty well, care to give a presentation at our next release party or at LinuxFest?

Well, for a group that wants to promote Linux to new users, I really can't understand why no one has responded with any comments/suggestions about my question. I guess we're just all too busy. I was finally able to figure it out on my own, but that's only because I'm not a complete newbie.

Just for information, the fix was to install the Virtual Box 'additions' to get the mouse to work properly. I now have Windows XP SP3, and Solaris 10 running as guests.

Thanks.....

BTW, this is the latest version of VirtualBox, so I follwed the instructions from their website to install. From what I understand, the one in the repository is outdated.

I've installed Virtual Box on my Acer Aspire laptop and have successfully installed XP SP3 as a guest operating system. From what I can tell, everything works except the mouse when I click in the XP window. I've searched around, but haven't found any instructions on a fix. I was up till 2:00 am last night trying to get it to work.

If you all have any ideas, I certainly appreciate the help. I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.
