Got it up and running last night. Fairly straightforward. Getting the
screen resolution right was a PITA. Finally gave up and googled it and
found out there is a dedicated command called "ps3videomode" you have
to use to get 1080p (1920x1080) resolution. Got one last thing to do to
get it working on my WPA2 wi-fi network, but everything else is working
great so far.
Came right up with the bluetooth keyboard/touchpad which was really
nice.
It does have an odd problem rebooting. It goes through the shutdown
process, but hangs just before rebooting. No biggie, but something I'll
have to suss out one of these days.
Couple pics.
Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon dual booted on a Sony PS3 gaming console (dual
3.2Ghz cell procs) displayed over HDMI on a 52" LCD 1080p HDTV.
