I have the actiontec router from Verizon, and yes it works with the Wireless on my house, you just have to select the correct type of WEP security, which is Hex I believe.

Hi Angelo,

Welcome to Ubuntu! Glad you're trying out the LiveCD.

I have a simple suggestion for you (and maybe you've already thought of
this), but make sure you're entering the password as a WEP "passphrase"
and not as ASCII or hex - you'll see these options on the drop-down
menu. I can't tell you how many time's I've forgotten to change this
while entering network keys. You should also check whether your WEP is
set up as 64 or 128-bit in your router configuration, and make sure
that matches up.

So, just a thought. All the best,

-Tony M.

-----Original Message-----
From: ANGELO CONTURSI <aconti1078@verizon.net>
