Hi Angelo,

Welcome to Ubuntu! Glad you're trying out the LiveCD.

I have a simple suggestion for you (and maybe you've already thought of this), but make sure you're entering the password as a WEP "passphrase" and not as ASCII or hex - you'll see these options on the drop-down menu. I can't tell you how many time's I've forgotten to change this while entering network keys. You should also check whether your WEP is set up as 64 or 128-bit in your router configuration, and make sure that matches up.

So, just a thought. All the best,

Hello,
I am a new user to Ubuntu, I have not installed it as of yet, I am running it from the disk that I received from Ubuntu. I want to install it on my Dell Inspiron 6000 Lap Top.
Ubuntu runs well from the disk I have received, so far.
I have a ActionTec Verizon modem, with WEP enabled, when I try to connect to the modem it will not accept my WEP password.
I have tried 128bit and 64bit to no avail, I do have another lap top that is wireless and connects to the wireless with no issues.
Any help in this matter any suggestions will be greatly accepted.
Thank You in advance
