I don't know if the group is "alive", but I know there are some people (including myself) who would be happy to have a LUG style meet-up. Actually I'm not even sure what ubuntu groups do, if any different than an LUG. :P

Can I post a job offer?  At the worst, there will be some list activity 
slamming me down for doing something as crass as offering people money. :)

I just moved here from Texas for a job in Trenton.  Now I find that they 
also need a solid Ruby Developer.  Send me an e-mail if you are interested.

Also, I was very active with Ubuntu in Houston, so I plan on being 
active here.  Is the group alive?
