Hi Ezra,

Just a quick note to say, "Welcome to Ubuntu!"

As Don Smith said, Ubuntu doesn't get viruses or spyware, so you won't
have to worry about things like that.

The CD will take care of installation for you - it won't be that
complicated and the whole process should take about 30 minutes. There's
no need to reformat your computer or reinstall your operating system
before using the CD. When it arrives, all you'll probably need to do
will be to put it in your computer and turn it on...and then as Don also
said, there'll be an icon on the desktop that says "install."

There's lots of guides for installation online that you might want to
take a look at. I won't point you to one specific walkthrough, but the
Ubuntu documentation should help you get familiar with what you'll need
to do.

Happy to help if you have more questions!

Have a great day,

-Tony
