So for those not in attendance our three main events will most likely be:
Trenton Computer Festival
Ubuntu LAN Party (volunteers for packaging?)
Feisty Party?
or something like the above.
The more:
As discussed at the meeting I will be contact Haddonfield Schools with the
support of the LoCo team to maybe do a linux pilot or something. However,
upon visiting their website I realized (remembered) they need some help
before we can even think of doing that.
Currently its IE only.... (pause for effect) although the old website looks
almost identical (its what you get on Firefox when you click through).
Last time I talked with them they were looking for some website help,
possible job opportunity. Website: http://www.haddonfield.k12.nj.us/
Oh, and on another note I am planning on going to the Cherry Hill Township
meeting this Monday 7:30 at the municipal building. I'm not sure if the
public has an opportunity to speak at these meetings, but if so, and if
somebody else comes with me (hey, I'm shy, shh) we could mention Ubuntu,
etc. Possible topics include the cool apparently open source map of cherry
hill and how more things in the township should be open.
