This is just nothing more than an update.

Surgery was started at 10am yesterday and I was out for a better part
of 4, 5 hours.  i was in and out of consciousness for a better part of
the rest of the afternoon.  I can say that the hospital food and Me do
*NOT* agree as a pretty much ended up with projectile vomitting over
that LOL.

As per doctor's orders, the bandage came off this morning.  My ear
feels like i have a 10 pound weight attached at the base and frankly,
it bugs me.  I'm sure i'll get used to it over  time, but god.. it
hurts.  We're gonna grab my painkillers and antiboitics today.

Thanks to those who sent me well-wishes.  I do have a photo set of the
surgery so I'll see about scanning it in and posting it online.
