Position Title: Senior Network Security Technician

Working Location: Kansas City, MO

Employment Status: Full-Time Regular

Required Experience: 5 years

Required Travel: 0%

Job Duties:

The Information Security department a security administrator whose
primary responsibility will be designing, implementing, and
maintaining security controls for UNIX systems in a Windows
environment. Additional duties include:

*Development, implementation, maintenance, and compliance verification
of policies, processes, and procedures relating to the security of
operating systems and applications.
*Day-to-day intrusion detection monitoring activity.
*Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
*Firewall administration.
*Handling of security incidents, recoveries, breaches, intrusions,
and/or system abuses.
*Install, maintain and troubleshoot information security hardware and software.
*Participate in IT projects to provide security consultation.
*Lead, plan, schedule, coordinate, and manage security projects.
*Provide reports to appropriate areas.

Minimum Requirements:

*Job candidate must have five to eight years or more of IT experience
with two to three years experience in administering security on Unix
operating systems and applications including but not limited to
Solaris, Red Hat Linux, VMWare ESX, WebSphere, and Oracle.
*High school level command of spelling, grammar and math, and/or basic
vocational training required.
*A Bachelor's degree in an information technology-related field is preferred.
*Certified Information Systems Security Processional (CISSP)
certification or Global Information Assurance (GIA) certification
preferred.
*Candidate must be able to design, implement, and support UNIX
security solutions in a Windows environment.
*Candidate must have good project management skills as well as the
ability to document and communicate technical information to a variety
of audiences.
