>From personal experience, change tracking is not compatible. It is "iffy" at best, and usually produces unexpected results. (Admittedly, word processing is not my strong suit, and I get "unexpected results" a lot.)
Others may have better outcomes

Subject: [ubuntu-us-mn] Wordprocessor 'change tracking'
My wife is on a committee that wants to use MSWord
'change tracking'. She uses Open Office (probably upgrade to
Libreoffic sometimee). Anyone know if the change tracking is
compatible between the two? If she saves file in MS
format (which?) will the tracking info be preserved?
I have not used change tracking (seldom use word processor).
