We're looking to hire another system administrator. Tony suggested (some
time ago) that I should send a message here. On the server side, we're
use Ubuntu wherever possible.

We're located in Karlstad, MN. If living in a tiny town isn't your
style, Thief River Falls, MN is within reasonable driving distance. We
have two employees (myself being one) living in Thief River Falls.

Responsibilities
      * Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade (both hardware and
        software) Linux (mostly Ubuntu) servers and Windows servers
        providing the following services:
              * web hosting (Apache)
              * email
              * file sharing (Windows and Samba)
              * database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or Microsoft SQL
                Server)
              * DNS/DHCP/TFTP
              * Windows Terminal Services
              * miscellaneous application servers 
      * Evaluate, test, and recommend new hardware and software
      * Perform similar duties remotely and on-site for business clients
        of the company
      * Work off-hours as necessary for upgrades and emergencies
      * Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
      * While some "work from home" time may be accommodated, this is
        primarily an on-site position. No full-time telecommuting. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
      * A solid understanding of virtualization concepts
      * Knowledge of networking fundamentals necessary
      * Proficiency in shell scripting, Perl, Python, etc. to automate
        server administration tasks
      * Technical writing skills 

Licenses
      * Valid driver's license required
