condolences re your cat.  and welcome.  and of course there are uncountable
resources, eg the tclug mailing list is quite a bit more active, if more
activity is something you'd like.  on these and other lists you'll find
professionals and amateurs, young and old, geeks and goons, all jumbled
together.  i started out shuffling 1mb jumbo pizza boxes and writing and
switching memory tests into that row of 16 switches on the front of DG
novas.  i haven't expunged my XP partition for no accountable reason, it
won't boot and i don't care.  i installed windows in virtualbox several
months ago for the sole purpose of retrieving my contacts from my
blackberry, and haven't used it since.  so ask away, please excuse any
impropriety that is ever part of the mix, laugh heartily, and remember
you're welcome!
