I agree. Figuring out how to better work with other
technology-related groups throughout the state is one of the goals
that have been defined, with a blueprint on
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/ubuntu-minnesota-projects/+spec/area-groups
and room for brainstorming ways to do so on
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MinnesotaTeam/Specs/AreaGroups. Feel free to
add to the wiki, discuss further on the list and IRC, and volunteer
for actual tasks!

Anything related to Ubuntu in Minnesota. Support questions are
absolutely on-topic, provided they deal with Ubuntu in some way. For
other Linux distributions, I would encourage people to post to their
nearest LUG's mailing list if possible. Other on-topic items would
include, but not be limited to:
Coordination and planning of LoCo social events
Discussion of increasing Ubuntu/FLOSS presence in schools
Requests for Ubuntu CDs from people who don't have the resources to
make their own
Discussion of promoting open document formats in Minnesota government agencies
Reviews of Ubuntu/FLOSS books
Organization of Ubuntu bug/documentation/development/etc. Jams for Minnesota
