For my work I need to learn Packet Sniffing and I am wanting to learn Wireshark as the tool for this. Our team writes a lot of services and debugging Network/Connectivity issues is a portion of our setup and support issues.

I'm looking for a good book on the subject and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

What I'm finding so far is:

1) "Practical Packet Analysis: Using Wireshark to Solve Real-World Network Problems"
Too remedial, doesn't go very deep into Wireshark.

2) "Wireshark and Ethereal network protocol analyzer toolkit"
Not great reviews but not terrible

3) "Wireshark Network Analysis: The Official Wireshark Certified Network Analyst Study Guide"
Great reviews but looks like it requires a pretty strong foundation in an understanding of Networks which may be beyond my level?

Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated!

Thanks,
Dan
