[ubuntu-us-mn] My Distributing Idea

I still think it is a good idea to distribute Ubuntu discs. I am thinking
about purchasing a Compaq laptop that cam make copies of Ubuntu and then I
can flip the disc over and I can put the Ubuntu picture on the disc and
version number. (only available for hp computers that can do lightscribe)
(You will need Lightscribe compatible discs.) If lightscribe doesn't work on
Ubuntu then I am going to partition my hard drive so then I will have
between 10 and 20 Gb for windows so I can do Lightscribe. It is extremely
important to get Ubuntu out. If we are focusing only on the metro area then
there is still a chance that word will get out and Ubuntu will be popular. I
think we could change what people are using on their computers by donating
copies of Ubuntu to libraries and we could also buy computers (specifically
laptops) and sell them. Instead of using Windows as their operating system,
they use Ubuntu. We could also put Kubuntu on the computers so it has more
of a Windows feel. I saw that a library has a book called "Ubuntu Unleashed
2008 Edition" and only one copy of the book has Ubuntu 8.04 in the
back...... The other copy doesn't have it. That was what has been keeping
about 28 people from using Ubuntu. The library is Great River Regional
Library (www.griver.org). IDEA: 1: Get ubuntu Cds and make sure it has the
logo and version # 2: Distribute the discs as far as possible (to
libraries, banks, post offices, hotels) 3: Try to keep the amount of discs
high and place a piece of paper by the discs saying: FREE TAKE ONE
