Addendum:

I just received word that if you want to participate in the release 
party that you DO NOT have to register. Since it's a "public area" you 
should be able to get in for free.

That said, Penguicon is an awesome convention and you'll be missing out 
on the other great events so be sure to take some time out this weekend 
to attend Penguicon
