If anyone has any ideas on what resources are out there for folks who
are starting with Linux, please ping Mike and let him know.

Our group could use a shot in the arm or other guidance.
We formed as most members were Windows users and little or no experience
with Linux.
And we were Eastsiders.
We got a bit of help getting going from MUG and MDLUG.
They are too advanced for most of our members.
But so far we have been doing different distros and desktops.
Our members now want to learn Linux.
File structures, troubleshooting, command line.
We have a meeting location Motor City Free Geeks, the 4th Tuesday
6:45-8:45pm.
Do you know anyone that might be able to get us on track?
Any good online material, training materials or books, we could teach
ourselves if we have to.
I did a presentation on software that has cross platform versions.
And another if the was none but something like it for Linux.
The location, time and date could be changed if needed.

thanks

mike bader
