Encrypted drive support is really broken. Using LUKS/dm-crypt on root
usually functions but separate encrypted volumes loaded by fstab
usually fail. Mounting on login using pam-mount always fails (since
Jaunty). Ralink wireless drivers are a real mess and are targeted for
rework after 2.6.33. I had another PCMCIA 802.11b card (non-Ralink
but I can't remember exactly ATM) that always hardlocks the kernel.
X.org Intel drivers are barely usable. Nautilus and Gnome VFS has all
kinds of problems with duplicate volumes showing up in the panel
(since Karmic) and still doesn't support NFS (broken for many years).
Xubuntu still has problems with xfce-panel randomly not loading at
login (>3 years now). Apt will happily run a system out of space
during package install. GUI and Alternate installers still horrible
with RAID/LVM2/LUKS/dm-crypt support. Lots of bugs for all of these
already in launchpad. There's more but I can't keep track of them all
anymore.
