[ubuntu-us-mi] Noob on the block!

I am a total noob with Ubuntu (well, it started 6 months ago), but I've now
switched my main desktop at home over to Ubuntu.  I'm also building a small
low-power box, to serve as a media repository, that has Ubuntu on it.  Glad
to know there is a loco near me if I need advice.  I hate asking for
technical advice from my son who goes to MSU!
