Re: installfest, forgot to report after action on my system

Ubuntu didn't install on site, late start, odd configuration, low disk free
space, data plan instead of wifi, upgrade and finally, io type
(media?) error..

At home, restarting the same install/ upgrade completed leaving a system w/
internet, but still w/o /home partition, and GUI, so

Install XUbuntu (Ron provided both) with better results, installed other
packages (xemacs21, kdegames, xsol, xshisen, xmahjongg, etc) running on
netbook and Mac, relatively happy camper, now not M$ dependent (but still
moving, argh)

As mention to several as they were departing, the following
weekend, DCBPW.org happened and the first day went well, presumably the
second day's hatch argon, I didn't make it back, after very long day ( for
me) and social evening at local restaurant.  Of note: discussion of
yapc2016 in warshington, DC area, yet tbd.
