Stepping Down From Leadership

Greetings All,

This is a decision that I've come to after a lot of thought and
consideration. I believe that the time has come for me to step aside as
leader and contact for the Ubuntu Maryland Local Community Team.

The details of why I feel I need to step aside at this time are numerous
and I will have a blog post in the next few days outlining some of the
major reasons. But the short of it is that I feel I've taken the group
as far as I can. I started the group a few years ago and worked it with
varying degrees of effort. However the last six months in particular
I've been particularly apathetic towards promoting Ubuntu. I still
believe in the project as a whole, just not particular aspects of it and
those aspects are helping to lead to this decision.

I'm setting April 30th as my step down date at this time. This gives us
some time to make decisions on how we want to transfer leadership and
contact responsibilities.

My thinking on this is that anyone who is interested in taking over
contact me via email, here or privately. Once I have a list of
volunteers we'll figure out a way to have a meeting among us and sort
things from there.

Let me know your thoughts!
