Ubuntu 9.10 on Dell Dimension 2400 Update

Thanks for the feedback from everyone on my issue with the two Dell
Dimension 2400 workstations. The modem removal from the one solved the
IRQ errors, but both units continued to freeze up after running for
about 10 minutes.
I removed Ubuntu 9.10 from both boxes. Then I installed Kubuntu 9.04 via
wubi on the box with Win XP and as a fresh install on the other box.
Both are running just fine.
So I don't know what the issue was with Ubuntu 9.10 on these boxes, but
I am satisfied with the end result.
Thanks
