Ubuntu 9.10 on Dell Dimension 2400

Wow, I have not seen such errors in ages. Back in the 1996 - 2001, for
certain distributions, we had to change the IRQ settings in the BIOS itself.
If the modem is not the culprit, give the IRQ table under PCI in BIOS.
