Good seeing/meeting mostly everyone last night (and all those that were listening in on the conversation). And Steve, my boyfriend, Matt, would be greatly interested in talking to you about the upcoming barcamp. I know he would like to help out with setup, etc. You can shoot him an email through matthewknox@gmail.com. Ciao everyone!

Please ignore the minutes notation in the URL, it's an agenda
misclassified as minutes.

The location will be at the MIT media labs:

See you there.
I'm testing it on three computers. I like it although i do agree with this
article a lot about some improvements GNOME needs
http://itmanagement.earthweb.com/osrc/article.php/3736091

I've also run into a couple bug like no flash with my nvidia driver enabled
https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/206347
and also no windows borders with nvidia enabled (which has a few fixes but
average users will just think that ubuntu is broked)

I would definitely like to see Ubuntu make it a high priority to be as fast
as possible. Like the improvement firefox 3 has made over ff2 and opera and
safari (the other one isn't even worth mentioning).
I've got Hardy running too. It seems a bit smoother, except for the
occasional crash but that doesn't even seem to be closing the program that
triggered the crash so it's pretty cool. It also seems a little quicker than
Gutsy, so I assume once all of the updates get checked in things should be
even better.

I'm not crazy about getting so many updates with the change list being
unavailable, but since I get emails when new packages are checked in it's
just a matter of letting Gmail find the package updates and seeing what's
what. I'm very disappointed with Firefox 3 being the default browser, but
anyone who's seen my blog or my forum posts know about that. It may be
better than Fx2, but when Mozilla constantly says it's not for use by
everyone who are we to make it the default for every Tom, Dick and Harriet
who run Hardy once it gets released but before Fx3 gets released (now *
possibly* in June). I foresee a ton of support calls just because of how
much has changed in Fx3, not to mention how many extensions and themes won't
be updated to run with Fx3 yet.

All in all (except for the Fx3 issue) I'm glad I made the update. I can't
wait until I can tell people to check out the final release.
I've been running it since around alpha 3 or so. Haven't run into any
problems thus far, and now it's in beta.

Love the Evolution updates, FF3 is fantastic, Compiz and
auto-configuring X.org are welcome additions as well.

In general, I like it. The x64 edition is much closer in functionality
to x32 than previous releases, which is important for those of us that
have 4GB of RAM in their laptops. :-P
