[ubuntu-us-ma] Ubuntu-us-ma Digest, Vol 50, Issue 4

Hey James, thanks for the response.  I had restarted firefox multiple times
before the issue was resolved.  I was thinking through things, and I
remember one thing Martin ran in the terminal at the bug jam was sudo
apt-get update.  Which might be the reason for me not seeing any updates in
the update manager itself.

Would apt-get update differ any from the update manager?

In the ubuntu version of firefox there is no checkbox under Edit-->
Preferences--> Advanced--> Updates to show when an update is available and a
flag/warning when it is being installed.  In firefox installed on my win7
there is an option checkbox under Tools--> Options--> Advanced--> Updates to
flag/warn when updates are available and are to be installed.
