[ubuntu-us-ma] How do I activate my copy of Linux?

There was a ":)" at the end, but this more or less underscores why
sarcasm is such a problematic source of humor on the Internet.  We
would have had even worst problems if someone had returned the
sentiment by replying that you activated linux with the command "sudo
rm -rf" or such.
