Bluetooth and firefox

I just got my dell mini and am having an issue with firefox. It works fine when using wifi but when I use bluetooth runing my blackberry as a modem, firefox will not connect. Everything else seems to connect fine (filezilla, dillo, ssh, ect). I played around with firefox proxy settings a bit but didn't get anywhere.
