OK following this talk I decided to diagram our group up again:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MassachusettsTeam/TeamList/CorePeople
This shows both jobs we know people have said they will do and things
that aren't planned and are organised badly.
OK so the changes I see are:
Steve will be keeper of installfests, all kinds, anywhere;
Martin will just lead, do some printing, and ever-long programming
DPic will have to stop stepping on Avalia's toes and ask her to put
items into the agenda, he should also be communicating much more with
our educational liaison about his educational work in case there are
important things of note. I'm not sure we should advise DPic to do the
social networking either, he's already doing quite a lot.
SECT needs cleaning up, we could do with a single person to liase, set
up events there and do other things, I may ask Mel if we can get
someone from his social circle in to do that and come to meetings etc.
Our events and project strategy will remain, those who want to do an
event or project aare invited to take charge and manage the project or
event, other can then help. This means that any emails saying "We
should be doing Foo" should be met with "Can you do Foo?" unless the
people is already burdened with other projects and events and is just
letting the group know about a good idea.
Thoughts? corrections? beatings?
Best Regards, Martin Owens
